Factory Rabbits , 2025, plaster, sizes vary

The series of plaster sculptures, amounting to more than fifty rabbit-like shapes, is inspired by the history of the Theater of Working Youth (TOWY) of ZIL. TOWYs created socially-aware performances for factory workers, reflecting both the enthusiasm and conflicts of the team. Statuettes of the ubiquitous and restless graduates of factory schools (factory rabbits) were hidden throughout the territory of the ZIL Culture Centre, and visitors were involved in a game to find them. During the exhibition, some of the sculptures were taken away, hidden, and even were made part of the wall of the building, which in many ways resembled the relationship between real TOWYs and ZIL workers.
